FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | FEBRUARY 2022 61 The Billiards for Fun Group underwent many changes when Pete Antoine was elected to the Association Board and became busy with all things association related. Many thanks to Dave Martin and Verina Rector who stepped in to oversee the morning session on a several months basis. We are so grateful for your time and dedication! Now the group has undergone a complete makeover, as Pete and Eileen Antoine have stepped down as group leaders, and Paul Snyder and David Thomason have taken the baton and are off and running! We anticipate many fun events happening with these fun people — the first being growth. All you new residents out there: we hereby recruit you! Come join us for some real pool-playing challenges, amidst laughter and friendly camaraderie, of course. We meet Tuesdays from 11 am to 1 pm or 1 to 3 pm. Pick a time and come join us. The Curly Cues have already enjoyed a few sessions. Some of us received new cue sticks for Christmas and have been giving them quite the work out! Having your own stick seems to improve everyone's game to some extent. There is a rumor that we may be getting the billiard tables recovered also! They get quite a work out with all the pool sharks we have in Four Seasons. Hope it will improve all our games! Curley Cues ended 2021 with our traditional luncheon and gift exchange. We celebrated at La Casita, one of our favorite local eateries. They are always so accommodating and the margaritas aren't too bad either! We missed our ladies who weren't able to join us, but the holidays are always so busy! It's just more fun when we can all get together. Ladies, join us for a little billiards fun! We play Mondays from 10 am until 12 pm. Hope to see you soon! Unfortunately, we are still plagued with COVID and have to wear a mask while playing. The good news is we will be having our tables re-felted and leveled, hopefully, within the month. The "Wild Bunch" consists of some of the best players in the league including Joe Spinella, Bob Rector, Mike Corbett, Carlos Rivera, Rick Steckler, Scott Frymire, Dave Martin, Mike Fisher, Paul Snyder, Verina Rector, and Gracy Luna. If you want to play serious, competitive pool, we invite you to come by the Billiards Room Friday afternoons from 12:30 to 3:30 and join in the stimulation of competitive play. We invite Sun Lakes and Solera to join us. They bring their best game for some exciting competition.
