64 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | MAY 2022
During February, our Four Seasons 4x4 group explored
a section of the Juan Bautista De Anza Trail. Our group
traveled up Bautista Canyon out of East Hemet and
continued through Anza where we caught Coyote Canyon
Road. Coyote Canyon runs through Anza Borrego State
Park, our group of 16 4x4 rigs made it to Bailey's Cabin just
in time for lunch. It was a beautiful day for all.
The De Anza Trail is the route the Spanish explorers
travelled from Mexico into California as they began to settle
our state. Near Bailey's Cabin in 1775 the birth of the first
Spanish child is documented Dec. 24, 1775.
If this looks like fun, join us on the second Tuesday of the
month at 6:30 pm for our meeting in the RCN Conference
Room. Also join us for our day run on the second Thursday
of each month.
