34 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | JUNE 2022 | Wine Club The Sun Lakes Wine Club will travel to Newport Harbor on Wed., July 20 for brunch and wine tasting on-board John Wayne's Yacht, "The Wild Goose." The yacht, currently owned by Hornblower Cruises, was a World War II minesweeper before Wayne purchased and refurbished it in 1962. The trip will include round trip bus service from Sun Lakes via Silver Linings Bus Company to Newport Harbor, brunch and wine tasting with an on-board sommelier and a two-hour Newport Harbor cruise. The price, which is all inclusive, is $198 per person and is limited to 52 persons. A bar will also be available on-board. Participants should arrive at the Bus Room between 8 and 8:30 am and the bus will leave promptly at 9 am. To reserve your space for this event, please contact Silver Linings Bus Company at (951) 929-6230. Credit card payment only will be accepted. The deadline to reserve your space is July 1. Please note that there are three sets of steep stairs on-board the yacht which may present a problem for those with mobility issues. Computer Club Computer Club meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month. Join us for our next meeting in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room on Thurs., June 16 at 1 pm. The June topic will be "Routers and the Cloud 2022." The Computer Club is for people of all computer skill levels. Each meeting will feature various presentations. On June 4, we'll meet outside under the trees at the far end of the Main Clubhouse parking lot at 9 am and then caravan to Mediterranean Gardens Assisted Living Center, 12295 4th Street in Yucaipa. All that the Center asks of us is that we bring our cars. They are going to feed us! Don't forget that the July Fourth parade sign up begins June 1.
