16 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | OCTOBER 2022 | Marketing & Communications Advisory The Marketing & Communications Advisory Committee continues producing content for the many platforms of communications. We will be expanding the content on the Sun Lakes website by adding a tab on the main menu at the top in the member's section labeled KSLCC Ch. 97. Under this selection, you will find most all the content aired on Channel 97 and on Good Day Sun Lakes Facebook page. The content will include recreation events, entertainment, the Administration Update Show, Coffee with the GM show, News from the Board Show, Good Day Sun Lakes with Anita Lawrence Show, Town Hall videos, and announcements from many of the clubs and groups here in Sun Lakes. This should go live within the next week as we populate the content on the website. However, the videos that are already available under their own locations, will remain under those specific locations. These include the Master Board Opens Session, The District Delegate Assembly Meeting, and Community Awareness. We added this content to the website, for those who are not on Facebook or do not want to watch KSLCC Channel 97 on TV. They will be able to access the website and obtain the same information. ~ Bob Murri Sun Lakes Committee Reports Recreation Advisory I don't know about you, but I'm wondering where 2022 went. It seems to have gone by very quickly. Now that Labor Day is in the past, we will be in the full swing of fall. Our last Ice Cream Social was in September and we are happy to tell you that we will be offering Apple Pie in October and Pumpkin Pie in November instead of ice cream. Yum. The garage sales will be in full swing this month and that is a good time to visit your neighbors. Come on out for the Annual Halloween Dog Parade. How can you resist that? How about the Fall Craft Show and the 11th Annual Veterans Walk? And you know what happens after all of that? Christmas! All of these dates are listed right here in your Lifestyles Magazine. Check the Recreation pages. There are lots of great events to keep us involved in the community. Now is the time to get those applications filled out for one of our hardworking advisory committees. Pick up an application to the left of the Main Clubhouse reception desk. Enjoy fall! Be involved. You will be glad you did. ~ Patricia Elevi, (951) 850-3900 Safety Advisory There have been several entry gates broken lately due to impatience. We need to relax and give the system time to operate. The patrolling around the North Side has stopped most break ins so far, even though there is still some camping to the east of the North Side. There have been people seen going through the garbage cans put out late Monday nights. Supposedly, they were just looking for cans. If you see someone, call Securitas. ~ Bill Bess, (951) 769-8022 The Bingo Advisory Committee's goal is to provide entertainment for our guests and to be able to donate to our local charities. So we are excited to share that we were able to help support the Women 4 Hope golf event held last month. Mark your calendars! Our game nights this month are Oct. 11, 18, and 25. The restaurant and bar are now open on Tuesday evenings. Thomas and Chef Chris are providing wonderful and very popular entrees each week for bingo guests. Only SL member cards or credit cards are accepted for food and drinks. Bring all your friends and neighbors, everyone is welcome. We play 12 regular and three special games and guests can play all 15 games for as little as $7 for the whole evening. Many cash prizes and door prizes are won each week. Remember cash only for bingo - no checks or credit cards. Doors open at 4:30 pm, games start at 6 pm and games are over by 8:45 pm. Come and be part of the fun. Any questions?
