FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | DECEMBER 2022 47 Seasoned Solos Hello friends and neighbors! Last month for the Seasoned Solos was filled with movies, music, live performances and food. The San Bernardino Symphony had a fantastic program of Movies and the Maestro. It is such a treat to hear a full orchestra perform your favorite songs from the great movies we have all seen. The Star Wars fans heard The Imperial March while they waived their light sabers. Thank you Phyllis Kates for purchasing our tickets and getting them to us well before the event! In Hemet, the group had a wonderful time at another Play with Your Food Production, Playing Doctor, with a delicious meal served before the play. The play was a comedy and we enjoyed the day very much. Thank you Sandy Davis for planning our fun day! We attended two live plays in Redlands – Sound of Music at the Lifehouse Theater and Mousetrap at the Footlighters Theater. Both were very good and we were really pleased with the great quality of both performances. Dinner followed both events with good food and great conversations. Our birthday lunch was held at Thai Chili in Calimesa. This place has been a favorite place to eat for a long time and we were not disappointed. Although Mel Zelden's birthday was a few months ago, we could not forget to celebrate the occasion. There were a couple of movies at the local movie house and several attended the opening event in Redlands, Art for Heaven's Sake, at 6 pm. There were many different forms of art and the yearly venue is always a good time. When the Seasoned Solos get together, we always have a great time. The variety of events and restaurants we attend are always fun. Our social schedules get entered in our calendars and we look forward to seeing our friends and spending time together. If you are single and would like to join us, then come to our monthly meetings in The Lodge Arts & Crafts Room at 6 pm. Our next meeting is Friday, Dec. 2 and we will be finalizing details for our holiday party. We welcome those interested to stop by our meeting and we will welcome you with lots of smiles! Please contact Joyce Olson at (951) 850-3055 or Nyla Cheely at (951) 285-7112 if you have any questions. Have a fun day! ~ Nyla Cheely What a day to remember! At our October event, the Crown Divas were joined by another group named "Witches." This event was a special one… it was a fundraiser for breast cancer. The generous donation was much appreciated by the San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital. Imagine 64 ladies dressed as witches. Each guest showed their inventive and fun side. Everywhere you looked, you saw different witch hats, some with veils, plumes, flowers, scarves, feathers, or ornaments. They wore large black or purple capes with hoods, lace or floral designs. You saw feathery boas and shimmering jewelry throughout the room. Raffle tickets were purchased and the prizes were large baskets filled with enjoyable items. We enjoyed a delicious lunch provided by Stacy Kopper Kettle catering. The camaraderie and energy in the room was felt by all the "witches" and we can't wait for our next event. ~ Irma Romero (Sugar Mama) Irmabsromero@gmail.com Crown Divas Red Hats Members having fun at the San Bernardino Symphony We enjoyed Play With Your Food in Hemet
