Garden Club
Rain, Glorious Rain With all our recent showers, the spring
gardens should be spectacular, just in time for our annual OHCC
Garden Tour. The tour will take place on May 10 from 9 to 11:30 am.
It is a time to visit your neighborhood gardens, chat with friends and
become inspired to make your yard beautiful again. If you already
have a unique and interesting garden and would like to be part of our
tour, please contact Lynn Bible at (619) 549-3641 or LynnLBible@
icloud.com. You do not need to be a Garden Club member to be on
the tour.
The Garden Club is having a group tour of the Carlsbad Flowers
Fields, on Mon., April 17 at 10 am. Tickets will be available at our
meeting, this is a member only event. You are welcome to join the
Garden Club at our meetings, dues are still only $10.
The March 8 Garden Club meeting will feature the Save the
Monarch Butterfly Club which will have a presentation on the
progress of the Monarch butterflies. The SMB Garden is expected to
be even better in year two.
Our meeting social time begins at 9:30 am and the speaker begins
at 10 am. We always have a share table at the side entrance, if you
have any seeds or cuttings you would like to share with others, please
leave them on the table. Check it out before the meeting.
