Wine Club By Sharon Evans, 951 445-3861 The Colony Cousins Genealogy Club is fortunate to have several knowledgeable and experienced members who have volunteered to be a speaker. This month, it's Greg Griffes, who joined our club last year. The title of his presentation is "Genealogy for Fun!" The presentation will be about discoveries, intrigue, tragedies, rabbit holes, mysteries and more. The emotional side of genealogy will be explored. Fun things you can do with ancestry software tools will be demonstrated. Greg is a computer engineer with the Boeing Company and moved to The Colony in 2021. His genealogy adventure started about seven years ago, resulting in his becoming the family historian, receiving all the family artifacts, and creating a family tree of over 6,000 direct ancestors. Greg has experience with ancestry software, including My Heritage, Ancestry.com, Family Search, Family Tree DNA, GED Match, and using Google Maps to map the migrations of his ancestors. We will meet on Tuesday, May 9, in the Annex, at 1 pm. Please arrive at 12:45 pm to sign in. Visitors are always welcome and can join if interested.
