Blaine As Americans, we have so much to celebrate and be thankful for with parades, fireworks, and picnics with family and friends celebrating our freedoms. Our Committee wishes you the best on the Fourth of July and for the summer ahead. Bingo game dates for this month will be July 11, 18, and 25. We play 12 regular and three special games and guests can play all 15 games for as little as $7 for the whole evening. Many cash and door prizes are won each week. Remember cash only - no checks or credit cards. Doors open at 4:30 pm, games start at 6 pm sharp, and are over by 8:45 pm. A reminder to our residents that HOA monies are never used to provide bingo activities. Bingo is self-supported. Having food and lounge services available Tuesdays evenings has been a great addition to bingo. A big thank you to Thomas and Chef Chris for providing delicious entrees and first rate services to our guests. Entrees are priced at $11.95 plus tax and gratuity. Bingo Advisory We hope you find some good summer reading books at the book sale on July 4! Remember, books purchased at our sales are NOT to be returned to us. Please pass them on to a friend, a public library or a thrift store. From time to time, we find boxes of discarded books left in our libraries which means Committee members must sort through them to see if there's anything we can add to our collections. We find MANY books that are unacceptable, and we have to determine what to do with them. So, out of consideration for the Committee, PLEASE SORT YOUR DISCARDED BOOKS BEFORE DONATING THEM TO US! Here are the guidelines to follow when donating your discarded books. These guidelines are also posted in each library and are on the Sun Lakes website under "Library Committee." Thank you for helping us with this! BOOK DONATION GUIDELINES Please follow these guidelines when donating books to the Sun Lakes libraries: We accept books in good condition published within the last 10 years that fit into these categories currently in our four libraries: fiction, mysteries, romance, nonfiction, biography, sports, military, and large print (in any of these categories). There is ONE exception: we will accept audio books, large print and Westerns that are older than 10 years. Donations of books greater than five must be checked in at the Main Clubhouse reception desk. Due to space constraints our libraries do not accept books older than 10 years, religious, spiritual, coffee table, technical, textbooks, foreign language, cookbooks, self-help, and travel books.
