| OHCC LIVING | JANUARY 2024 | 33
And we begin again! Welcome 2024!
On Sat., Jan. 13 at 10 am, our Clubhouse will be a flurry of activity.
"Do Dues Day "will be in full swing, and all of our social clubs will
be showing off, talking about activities and accepting your dues
for the year. Sewing etc. will be located in front of our Sewing
Room, and we'll have many examples of our accomplishments
from years past. We look forward to meeting and greeting both
new and returning members and will happily accept their 2024
dues payment of $7 by check (made out to OHCC Sewing Etc.) or
by cash. Our club was 123 members strong last year!
ere are no scheduled classes in January, however our get-
togethers will remain in place as always. Our Kneedlers (knitters)
and Hookers (crocheters) gather on Tuesdays from 3 to 4:30 pm
and are always looking for excuses to practice their knitting and
crocheting, and to offer guidance. Also, on Tuesday evenings
(6 to 8 pm) and Fridays (12 to 3 pm) several quilters, knitters,
crocheters and sewers get together for "Sew & Chats." Both of
these gatherings are loosely structured and help to keep us in
touch.
Our first meeting of the year is set for urs., Jan. 4 at 9:30 am in
the Mykonos Room. We had no meeting in December, so I'm sure
we will have a lot to catch up on and "show and tell."
Don't forget about our "rideshare" service to meetings and
workshops that are held in our Clubhouse. If you are interested in
attending and have no transportation, please call Sharon Philippe
(760) 500-3086. We have a list of volunteers who will be happy to
get you to and from the event.
If you are interested in participating in our activities and are
not sure who to reach out to for further information, please call
MaryLu Belisle (952) 454-1931 for more information. Also, please
visit our website http://ohccsewing.wixsite.com/ohccsewing. ~
