We are looking forward to a full weekend of special events all
planned to amuse and delight you and raise money for the Sun Lakes
Charitable Trust and our Banning Pass neighbors.
First up is The Monster Scramble on Thurs., June 6, beginning at
7:45 am on the Executive Course followed by lunch in the Ballroom.
Teams are challenged along the course to do all sorts of fun, crazy
things and everyone looks forward to participating.
The morning of Fri., June 7, will be "Nancy's Sunshine Diner
Pancake Breakfast" in the Ballroom from 7:30 to 10:30 am. Enjoy
flapjacks, eggs, sausages, and a beverage served to you by our
wonderful volunteers along with entertainment and lots of giveaways.
Following that, out on the Driving Range, we look forward to the
Helicopter Ball Drop and Charity Raffle Drawing. Five lucky winners
will win $300 each if their ball lands closest to the hole. And the
winner of the helicopter ride along will have a bird's eye view of the
whole event!
Later that Friday at 4 pm, relax and unwind at the "Karaoke
Cowboy Happy Hour." You'll enjoy a western-themed dinner and
entertainment by Bob Palmer Karaoke (Ray, LaWanda, Kenny, and
others). You'll definitely want to dance to their unique blend of
classic rock and country.
Sat., June 8 – you can follow the players on the back 9 of the
Championship Course during the Pro-Am Shoot-Out. The teams
consist of one pro and one amateur golfer and one team is eliminated
on each hole. It is free to all spectators and starts at 9 am. Everyone
is invited to come out in their carts and follow the field around the
course.
This will be followed from 1 to 4 pm with music by Walle Larrson
on the Veranda and then a reverse raffle for a new $11,000 golf cart
built especially for us by The Cart Guy.
Wrapping up the weekend on Sun., June 9, is the Pro-Am
Tournament followed by the Player's Lunch during which there will
be a live public auction for golf packages donated by the participating
pros.
