44 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JULY 2024 We have passed the halfway point of 2024. My, how time f lies! June started with the Beginners' Basics session and we had a good turnout. We spent time practicing the most basic line dance steps, how to count the step(s), and applying a modification if possible before using music. We do not expect perfection, we just want to get on the dance f loor and have fun. We also had our quarterly potluck to acknowledge our dancers with April, May, and June birthdays. What a fun time we always have. Looking forward to the September celebration. If you need information on the class(es), you can pick up a f lyer at The Lodge, or call me at the number below. Our Red, White, and Blue Summer Soul Line Dance Explosion was on Saturday, July 6. This event always packs the house with dancers from all over the Inland Empire and gives us the opportunity to see friends we have not seen since Mardi Gras. Save the date: Saturday, Nov. 23, for our Evening of Music and Dance. This will be the third year Heart & Soul hosts the event and open to all residents at Four Seasons. More details will be available as we get closer to the date. See you on the dance f loor! ~ Priscilla Robles, (909) 239-6464 Heart & Soul Line Dance Summer is upon us, and we, the members of the Let's Dance Social Club, would like to invite you to join us on Monday nights for some fun and camaraderie in The Lodge Ballroom. Every Monday night from 6 to 8 pm we meet to enjoy each other's company and work on our skill at twirling around the dance floor and maybe make some new friends. I can attest to the pleasure of dancing with a partner and the warm feelings you get when you hold someone as you navigate the Ballroom showing off your moves. There is also the satisfaction in knowing you can go to a dance in almost any venue, such as dance halls, cruises, weddings and all the various dances that we have here at Four Seasons. We are privileged to live in such a beautiful place with so many amenities available, so why not try it out? Our group meets at 6 pm to practice things we have previously learned, and the instruction starts at 6:30 pm for all skill levels. We have beginners and advanced lessons from our professional instructor, Cindy Finley. She guides us through the steps with patience and wants all of us to succeed so we can dance with confidence and skill. And our group isn't only couples, so single dancers are welcome, too. We look forward to seeing you. For further information, please contact Tom Olsen at (510) 866-7813 or my email address, which is cnj2401@msn.com. See you on the dance floor! ~ Tom Olsen Let's Dance! Step back in time and groove to the classic beats at the Old School Dance & Activity Club! This club brings a nostalgia-packed evening filled with music, movement, and memories from days when we were young! Join us on the fourth Thursday of every month at The Lodge Ballroom from 3 to 5 pm and let the good times roll. We will also educate you on the history of those old-school songs we all know and love. It's not only about dancing, it's about understanding the roots and stories behind the music that shaped an entire generation.
