THE CREATIVE SPOTLIGHT: DEBORAH MAGGY Crafts have always been a part of my life: sewing, knitting, crocheting, stained glass, leather work, and more. When I retired eight years ago and had the time to pursue hobbies, I found my "craft" of choice - cross stitch. I moved to Four Seasons five years ago to be near my son, daughter- in-law and now four year old granddaughter. My two passions in life, 1) my granddaughter and, 2) cross stitch. Retirement gave me the time needed to graduate from small projects (Christmas tree decorations and samplers) to major pieces taking eight to 12 months to complete. Although I love working with 32 count linen, these projects all used 16 count Aida cloth. I just hope my family and friends enjoy my gifts as much as I have with every completed "X." More about this event will be published in the next issue of the Hemet Herald. ALL CREATIVES OF ANY GENRE ARE INVITED. We will discuss the best direction that the group should take in the future.
