Sun Lakes Travelers Club members are busy planning their tours,
cruises, and solo travel adventures for 2025. We welcomed Premier
World Discovery representative, Afrodite Pastroumas, to our June
meeting where she gave a detailed overview of a variety of exciting
travel opportunities for 2025. These included a river cruise from the
beaches and WWII sites of Normandy to Paris, a trip to Michigan's
lovely Mackinac Island, and an all-inclusive cruise around the Greek
Islands and stay in Athens.
In July, Steve Kanold, of Palm Springs-based Adult Customized
Tours (ACT), introduced his company's day, multi-day, U.S., and
international destinations for 2025. These included Japan, Mexico's
Copper Canyon and a multi-park African Safari tour. Steve also
spoke about his free monthly Travel Club of the Desert meetings and
their fun social activities in Palm Springs and surrounding areas.
Our guest speaker in August will be Chris Stanley, a self-styled
master of traveling on points. Chris and his wife travel frequently
at very little cost using airline miles and hotel points that they
accumulate primarily through credit cards. Chris will share his travel
secrets with us along with tips and techniques for travel planning
using points and miles that is easy on your budget.
The Sun Lakes Travelers Club invites interested travelers to join
us on the second Saturday of each month from 10 am to 12 noon to
listen to guest speakers from the travel industry, share information
with other Sun Lakes travelers, and socialize in a friendly, informal
setting. Annual dues are $15. We meet in the Main Clubhouse
Multipurpose Room and you may attend one meeting as a guest to
