The Club's golf cart parade was held on the Fourth of July!
Refreshments and donuts were provided during the social hour. The
Parade started at 9 am and lasted about 40 minutes. A very nice social
time and golf cart turnout. We were able to beat the heat. Of course,
the welcome table was the result of GREAT contributions from Stella
Torres, John Schilling, Cecil and Debbi Frazier, and Donna McLaughlin
(who also did the decoration of The Lodge and roundabout with a big
assist from Tim Gross, the Four Seasons handyman). And, of course,
Tracie Rodgers' assistance was invaluable! Thank you. It really does
require a village!
Flag Angels: The last
four weeks have been a
busy time of the year for
the Angels; flags went up
for Flag Day (Fri., June 14 on just World Cup and Four Seasons), for
Juneteenth, (Wed., June 19 throughout the entire community), and for
the Fourth (Thurs., July 4 throughout the entire community). Some
3,600 flags were put up and taken down over those three holidays.
Some of the Angels will have this bumper sticker on their carts. If
you know or recognize these Angels, give them a well-deserved
"thank you" the next time you see them.
I had to do some juggling of route assignments. Shirley and Jerry
Etemadfar have joined the Flag Angels as substitutes and Denise
and Bob Levesques have moved from substitutes to taking over
the Legends West route. Dave and Char Weakley are now doing the
Championship 1 route (which was vacant). If anyone is interested
in volunteering to be a substitute Angel (they fill in on occasion
when an Angel cannot post flags (sick, vacations, etc.), I could use a
volunteer(s). We have lost a few due to health reasons. If you would
be willing to help, please call me (951) 973-4149, or email me at
mikemcla43@aol.com.
