Switching tables for the next "round" of Bunco. YES, WE COUNT THE MINIS! The "BUNCO FUN BUNCH" gets together once a month to play Bunco in Civic Hall. It's a very easy-to-learn, fast-paced game. Anyone who can roll dice and move from chair to chair can play it! Bunco Rules are reviewed before the game. However, if you're still unsure about something, there's always someone around who can help. "Gambling" is not allowed on Campus, so, instead, we play for Gift Cards (GCs). Example: Top winners may take home over $90 in various GCs while other players could win $70, $50, $20, etc. in GCs, depending on the Bunco category won. Note: Since we submit our articles six weeks in advance, we don't have information on our August game, but here is what happened at our July game: We had 28 players, lots of snacks, and many winners (see pictures below)! We played four games. Our Gift Card winners were: Most Buncos: Becky Mobley, $100; Most Wins: Rita Heacock, $70; Most Mini Buncos: Sherry Galloway, $50; 50/50 (the same number of wins/ losses): Barbara Duncan, $20; Most Losses (split between two players): Candy Pellechio & Hazel Heaps-$10 each; and "Traveling:" Janet Myhrvold, $20. It was a really fun time for all of us. Congrats to our winners! Now we're taking September's Game Sign-Ups for Wed., Sept. 25 at 1 pm in Civic Hall (26601 Cherry Hills Boulevard in the tan bungalow buildings, between Billiards Hall & the Old Golf Course Building). Player Requirements: 1. SCCA Members MUST show your current SCCA White Activities ID Card at the sign-in table. SCCA Members may bring Guests, but you must sign-in at the same time (Guests must have a resident "sponsor"); 2. Everyone brings a $10 Gift Card with its receipt attached to place in the "Prize Pot" (GCs may be for restaurants, retail stores, etc.); and 3. Everyone brings their own drink (no alcohol) and a snack to share with others. (Store-bought items okay. You must take your snack leftovers home with you!) We play in a large room with four players per long table, so we're not crowded and our "snack plates and drink cups" don't interfere with the dice! Since we need to know how many players to set-up for, if you want to play, please call to RESERVE YOUR SEAT. Doors open at 12:45 pm, game rules are reviewed at 1 pm, and the first game starts immediately after that. Players need to be signed in and ready to play by 1 pm.
