I was hoping by now it would be cooling down a bit. But, maybe by the time you are reading this, we are getting some fall weather. I'm sure we are getting ready for some of the holidays coming up and getting our fall clothes out. I can hardly wait for some cooler temperatures. Enjoy this time of year! Upcoming Events: Oct. 20: Fabulous Fall Foursome Golf Tournament on the Executive Course; 1:30 check in and 2 pm shot gun start; Cost: $20 for golfers includes dinner (North Clubhouse) and prize money; $15 for non- golfers (dinner). If not an annual golf member, green fees to be paid to pro shop. Orange ball scramble, three clubs and a putter. You may pick your foursome; however, you must have one woman on your team. A flyer will be sent out soon for sign-ups! Nov. 16: Wine Tasting (North Clubhouse), first come, first served. The maximum will be 40 members. There will be pairings for each wine. Cost is $45 per person. December: Attend Palm Springs Festival of Lights as a group and dinner afterwards. Dinner to be paid by each person attending. Enjoy a delectable meal of beef stroganoff, a fresh garden salad, bread, and a surprise dessert. The festivities are Fri., Oct. 18 at 5:30 pm in the South Clubhouse. After dinner, we will enjoy a performance by the musical group Jamestown. They play a mix of popular songs, timeless jazz standards from the Great American Songbook, soft pop rock, easy listening tunes, and even some line dancing music. Experience this hauntingly delightful evening for only $22 for members and $25 for guests.
