What Does the Billiard Club Do?
The Billiard Club is different.
1. We don't have dinners or dance parties — dozens of clubs do
that. T he most we do is offer free beer and pretzels a couple of
times a year. Basically, we just play pool.
2. But WE WILL TEACH YOU how to play pool. In 2024, we
provided 18 lessons on techniques and games. We start with
"How to talk a good game and look like you know what you're
doing." After that one lesson, you will not play any better, but
you will no longer look like a beginner.
3. We hold eight to 10 tournaments annually and award many
hundreds of dollars in prize money. The entry fees? Zero.
Now that's a deal.
4. Want your own cue? It is helpful to play with the same cue all
the time. Buy any pool cue in the room for $20.
5. All this costs money, so we must charge our members $9 dues.
That's less than one hour at a pool hall. Don't fight the mob at
Do Dues Day. Pay now at the front desk or give it to any Board
member. (See above.)
