Our instructor, Mary Gasteiger, will be back from the holidays for our classes starting Tuesday, Jan. 7. If you'd like to give clogging a try, a Beginner's class is 4:30 to 5:15 pm, followed by a more advanced class from 5:15 to 6 pm. Classes are held in the Auditorium and are $5 per class, with the first one FREE so that you can try before you buy. Don't worry about shoes; our instructor will loan clogging shoes until you decide whether you want to buy your own. Clogging is a form of American Folk Dance with taps on the shoes and is such fun to learn! It's also great exercise for body and brain. There is a performance group for those interested, but there is no push or expectations about it. If you have any questions, please call me at the number above. Clogging Class By Mary Seifert, 951-304-3503 I'm pleased to report that our November Pancake Breakfast was the best supported one yet! Funds raised from those paying at the door and through prior ticket sales were the highest we've seen. We had well over 300 join us for an enjoyable breakfast of pancakes and sausage and who took the opportunity to visit with friends and neighbors. So, a big thank you to all who supported our Breakfast and made it such a successful event. Also, a big thanks to all the volunteers who helped, including the local high school students. Money raised from both the June and November breakfasts provides funding for our scholarship program for Murrieta High School athletes. To qualify for the program, the students must be accomplished athletes and selected by their high school coaches, but they must also meet specific educational standards and be college bound. Scholarship payments are made directly to the colleges of choice. Once again, thank you for supporting our Pancake Breakfasts!
