| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | FEBRUARY 2025 | 9 Library Committee February is here; 2025 is moving right along. is month we celebrate Groundhog Day, Valentine's Day, and Presidents' Day. Your Four Seasons Library denitely has books to help you commemorate the love and romance associated with Valentine's Day and biographies/autobiographies to honor a number of our country's Presidents. Try looking for nonction books about national holidays which should include Groundhog Day. I'm not aware of books specically focusing on Groundhog Day or groundhogs, in general, but it would be fun to look for those books, too! While you're searching for information about groundhogs, remember to check the bookcases behind the couch to see if any new categories of books have appeared. Your volunteer Library Committee is always considering adding to the library's collections — when space is available, our biggest challenge. If an existing category of books isn't being utilized, however, then it's time to consider replacing it with something else. Suggestions welcomed! As I write this article, our magazine supplies are low. Remember when each household used to subscribe to a wide variety of magazines? Time, Life, Saturday Evening Post, Woman's Day, and many more? We're very thankful that some residents still do subscribe to magazines and share issues with the library. Remember that we just want current/recent issues — within the past three months if monthly, please, or one month if a weekly publication. We would like to see our lone magazine rack full again! Remember to check in the Computer Room for our signicant number of puzzles with 300 to 1,000 pieces. e end- of-year holiday and seasonal puzzles have been gradually replaced with more general and spring/summer puzzles. ere always are lots of animal puzzles. In reality, the library has in its possession as many puzzles in storage as you see on the shelves everyday. ere, also, are as many of them again out in circulation around the community. Our residents love working puzzles! Committee members are oen asked if we or management sta will provide a table in the Computer Room or elsewhere for residents to work on puzzles onsite. Remember that YOU can always request to reserve a table in the game room or the Spa Building to work a puzzle. Please be aware, however, that puzzles onsite must be completed that day; they can't be le overnight. ese rooms are constantly in use. Puzzles are to be worked at home.
