In March, we hosted our exciting Aussie Pairs Lawn Bowl Tournament, and it was a fantastic day filled with friendly competition, good food, and great company. The three-game tournament welcomed teams from Sun City Civic, Redlands, Oaks North, Laguna, and The Groves from Newport, bringing together a wonderful mix of experienced and enthusiastic bowlers. A special celebration for Ray Grall: One of the highlights of the day was celebrating Ray Grall's 90th birthday! Ray has been an active bowler for over 20 years, and we are thrilled to continue seeing him out on the greens. His dedication and love for the sport inspire us all, and we hope he keeps rolling for many more years to come. Come join the fun! If you have not tried lawn bowling yet, now is the perfect time to get started. It is not just for older folks. It is a fun and social activity for all ages. We provide the equipment and will gladly show you the ropes. Plus, we love to celebrate birthdays and special occasions, making every gathering even more memorable. When and where we meet: We meet on Mondays and Saturdays, 7:15 to 10 am, and Tuesdays and Fridays, 5:15 to 8 pm, at the lawn bowl courts along Cherry Hills Boulevard. Come on out and give it a try. Whether you are a seasoned bowler or a first-timer, you are always welcome to join us for a day of fun, friendship, and a little friendly competition. We hope to see you on the green soon! Lawn Bowling Twirlers Square Dance Club Celebration Now that spring is here, the Twirlers Square Dance Club is looking forward to the good weather. We just celebrated our 51st birthday as a club, having originally started in Canyon Lake! We gathered in March to celebrate and here we are all together. Our April dance will have already happened by the time this is published, but please feel free to stop by our Sock Hop-themed dance on Sun., May 4 in North Town Hall. Round dancing with Jennifer Hunt begins at 1:30 pm with a free lesson, starting at 1 pm. Steve Moore will be calling the squares from 2:30 to 5 pm. Put on your poodle skirt and leather jacket and come join us! Sun City Twirlers
