32 | OHCC LIVING | MAY 2025 | In May, the Photo Club will have a couple of activities. On May 15, our normal meeting day, we'll have an overview of some popular photo editing software. Some of them work on smart phones, tablets, and laptop/desktop computers, and some are oriented towards only one platform. Adobe has recently introduced a bona fide version of Photoshop for the iPhone, available for a free download, but with in-app purchases. This is not Photoshop Express. We'll see if we can scrounge up a copy for you to see on the big screen. It doesn't appear to be available yet for Android. In our meeting, we'll also talk about our other activity for the month, taking photos of the Garden Club's annual Garden Tour. The actual tour is on Sat., May 17, but we will be shooting on Fri., May 16, from noon to 2 pm. We'll have some information from the Garden Club about the gardens we are shooting and probably a map to help us navigate efficiently. After we take our photos, we're asking photographers to send all of their shots in, probably using a thumb drive or SD card because it's too much to email. We can share them with the Garden Club. They like getting all the photos, but blurry pictures or pictures of feet can be stripped out. But we'll also send five to ten favorites to the Photo Club so we can feature them at our June meeting. And remember that we will have the opportunity to show our work in the Art Room over the summer. If you want to get photos printed ahead of time now might be a good time to begin.
