We acknowledged Gina at the May Master Board Open Session. Gina started with Sun Lakes Country Club in January of 2018. Since that day, she has dedicated herself to serve the residents and their guests. She always has a friendly smile and a welcoming personality. Gina is always willing to assist in any location of our operations, whether it's in the Sandwedge, Lounge or with banquets. Her professionalism is always noticed by residents alike. We are proud to give Gina "Employee of the Month" and a Visa gift card for her outstanding job performance. Again, don't forget you can nominate any employee at Sun Lakes for Employee of the Month. You can nominate monitors, maintenance staff, Pro Shop staff or Food and Beverage staff. Forms are available in the Main Clubhouse, the Lounge, Restaurant, Sandwedge, and Pro Shop for residents to nominate an employee for their outstanding job performance. We continue to see homeless individuals and encampments near Sun Lakes, but the number of trespassing reports has decreased. Securitas, in tandem with Banning PD, have been successful in removing these individuals once they are discovered on the property. Securitas has added new checkpoints for the patrol officers: at the end of Northwood Ave. at Brooklawn Dr. and at the maintenance gate on Riviera Ave. Pet owners: please make sure the information on ID tags or microchips for your fur babies is up to date. Pets with no ID or outdated ID are difficult to return if they get loose. There has been an increase in snake sightings with the warmer weather. Be careful where you step or where you set your belongings! The gate arms have been upgraded to a new system with the LED lighted bar. So far, there has been a reduction in broken gate arms, plus they look better. If you are having issues with your transponder, contact Administration. Please remind yourself and your guests that no one is allowed on either golf course unless they are actively golfing. This includes people out for a walk, walking pets, and riding bikes. Any guests using our facilities must have a resident present as well. If anyone has a suggestion for a traffic sign or placement of a speed hump in Sun Lakes, please contact me or any safety committee member and we will make a determination to recommend to the Master Board, or not. Keep your garage doors closed Keep your pets on a leash Be vigilant – If you see something, say something Drive slowly and stop at stop signs ~ Michael Volz, (818) 310-1950, vmv1950@aol.com Safety Advisory their outstanding job performance.
