| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | JULY 2025 | 11 Bingo is a great pastime for many folks and it's something to look forward to getting out and about. It can be a big part of a person's social activities and a place to enjoy being with friends. Come and enjoy the fun and win big! The Restaurant staff will be serving a different entrée every week. Check Good Day Sun Lakes on Facebook or call Karen for the menu this month. The bar window located in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom will also take drink orders. Please note that all Bingo players may purchase food and drinks in both the Lounge and Sandwedge. Only credit cards are accepted. On game nights, we play 12 regular and three special games. Guests can play all 15 games for as little as $7 for the whole evening. Remember cash only — no checks or credit cards. In addition to bingo game prize money, there are 10 door prizes of $10 each. There are lots of chances to win. For July, Bingo is scheduled on the 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th. Doors open at 4:30 pm, games start at 6 pm sharp and are generally over by 8:45 pm. Bingo Advisory Lifestyles Magazine is the resource most residents turn to find out what's going on in our community. At up to 80 pages, it includes pictures from residents plus articles from the Master Board, Delegate Assembly, FirstService, the Restaurant, the golf pro, and all the advisory committees. Clubs and groups send articles and photos about their activities to Sunlakesnews@yahoo.com by the sixth of each month. The Lifestyles Advisory Committee meets on the seventh of each month, unless otherwise specified, to review and edit the articles submitted for each month's issue of the magazine. We meet with Master Board liaison Beverly Simmons, Assistant General Manager Jason Ewals, and Recreation Manager Linda Vang to keep updated about events coming up in our community. We also publish want ads and for sale items from residents at no cost and hide a monthly joke for residents to find. Responses to our "Get the Joke" contest are put in a hat and a winner is randomly drawn, earning a restaurant gift card as a prize. Photographs taken by residents of areas within Sun Lakes are used on the magazine cover. We also post pictures of residents on their vacations, or of their beloved pets. If you're good at proofreading and are interested in joining us, please fill out a volunteer application form that you can get in the Main Clubhouse Lobby, and we'll put you on our waiting list. Lifestyles Advisory Check out all the changes to the libraries. We have kept 20-year- old and newer books, except biographies, sports, military, classics, and non-fiction. There are classics now in the North Clubhouse. Health and wellness books are available in the North and South Clubhouses. We have purchased more books and puzzles for this collection. Colored stickers will be used to denote genres such as mystery (white), romance (pink), general fiction (yellow), wellness and inspiration (light blue), western (orange), large print (green), classics (medium blue); non-fiction(red); audio books (purple). Books will no longer be stamped to a particular library and can be returned to any Clubhouse. Come and see the changes and browse our collections.
