From Adrienne Nims' Octoberfest performance to Starlights, your board and our members racked up many hours providing you with entertainment that is creative, funny, fun, meaningful, unusual, exciting, educational and thought-provoking. We'll shortly be asking new residents to join us — perhaps, even those with musical talents! Adrienne Nims was a winner! The turnout was terrific and all who attended had a great time. You can believe we'll ask her back. Thanks to the talent and dedication of 20 of our very own actors, brilliantly directed by Patricia Collins, the world premiere of Janet Tiger's artfully-written Starlights was a soaring success! Special thanks to the A/V crew, to those who tirelessly worked backstage and to all who contributed time and talent to this unique production. We couldn't have done it without you. Upcoming events: Mockingbird Improv (at right) is set to dazzle us Nov. 3, at 7 pm. We're setting up cabaret seating for your evening's enjoyment, so bring a little something to nosh and sip! This performance is free to members and $10 for non-members. The smart money says to spend $15 for membership, and all shows in 2025 and 2026 are included. Doors open at 6:30. What a pleasure to welcome Jay White to the Ocean Hills stage for a wonderful tribute to the "Solitary Man." This final show will take us out of 2025 with a fiery finish. If you weren't able to purchase tickets you can always check at the front desk to see if any tickets have become available. That brings us to our big announcement! We are thrilled to unveil three spectacular shows for 2026! Get ready for a Hunka Hunka burning love on Feb. 21, Dean Z will set the stage ablaze with his amazing tribute to the legendary Elvis Presley. Next, prepare to be captivated on May 16 by Mania, a dazzling homage to the iconic Swedish band, ABBA. Finally, we'll wrap up our season with the enchanting Bachelors of Broadway on Nov. 14. What an incredible lineup! Make sure to mark these dates on your calendar, you won't want to miss any of these shows. We look forward to seeing you there. Also, don't forget that you have the opportunity to become a *Star Donor for 2026. No waiting in line, AND you get the best seats in the house for all three shows, not to mention the wonderful feeling of knowing that you are doing something that will benefit your community for many years to come. If you want to put some money toward a worthy cause, please consider this special opportunity right here in your own community: making the arts accessible to all of your neighbors. At $500 per person, it's a legacy that truly makes a difference for your neighbors and friends. Venturing out to Moonlight Theatre or driving to San Diego to enjoy a show at the Civic Centre is no easy venture. For many, it takes a heroic effort. Quality shows at a reasonable cost and having someone deliver you to the front door of the concert hall makes it so very easy. It's a gift that will continue to add vitality to our community for years to come. If you'd like more information on becoming a *Star Donor, contact Judy Harris or Sandy Stewart. (Their contact information is in the new directory.) Respectfully submitted by the OHSPA Board, written by Beverly Taylor ocean Hills Society for the Performing Arts
