54 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JANUARY 2026 Happy New Year! Now's the time to put on your comfy shoes and jacket and head out for a walk. It's a time to ref lect and to be thankful for all our blessings. It's an opportunity to think about what is important in our life. Maybe for some it's to make changes in our lifestyle, for example our health and exercise. Let's make an effort to move our bodies more. What do you say? You can do that in an energetic game of ping pong. Yes, I have a bias for this sport. I can't help it. I really like to play table tennis. I came across this thought provoking quote from the playwright Hillary DePiano: "You can get excited about the future; the past won't mind." And this next quote made me laugh: "You can sum up this sport in two words. You never know." Lou Duva, boxing promoter. In 2025, we had several new players. The photos feature three of them. They learn fast and have developed their own individual skills. Each player is unique in their serves, returning the ball and playing with their doubles partner. In the photos they are playing doubles. My personal quotes are: "Let's have a ball. Time to serve some fun — are you ready?" Let's play ping pong! See you Monday through Saturday from 2 to 4 pm at The Courts. ~ Mary Baer, baerhuggy@icloud.com Table Tennis Happy New Year, Paddle Tennis family!
