FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | FEBRUARY 2026 25 Finance Committee The financial statements for November 2025 were reviewed and recommended for Board approval. In addition, the committee reviewed expenditure proposals for various recommended projects in the community. We also reviewed investment recommendations to move maturing investments to higher-yield, FDIC-insured instruments. Highlights of the November financial statements are: Total Cash is $10,848,121, including operating cash funds of $1,772,281 (checking and CDs), and reserve account funds of $9,071,997, and reconstruction funds of $3,843. Our total year-to-date current income is $(175,546). Homeowners are welcome to join us at the Finance Committee's regularly scheduled monthly meetings held on the last Tuesday of each month. Our next scheduled meeting will be Feb. 24. The Finance Committee reviews and discusses many issues that you may have questions about. Residents are welcome to attend one of our meetings to become more familiar with our finances. At the beginning of each meeting, we allow three minutes per homeowner, not to exceed 30 minutes in total for comments. Our meetings are held in the RCN Conference Room. If you have any questions or concerns, contact Jolene Cooley at joleneaudit@ gmail.com. ~ Jolene Cooley Landscape Committee The first two months of a new year are the depths of winter and the Landscape Committee has little to do because much of the community planting is dormant. As I mentioned in last month's Breeze article, this year, funding levels show a modest increase from 2025 but still far less than 2024 levels. Accordingly, we anticipate that the funding will primarily be used for activities that maintain community appearance rather than enhance it. In addition to the lower-funding level, the committee has been tasked with implementing the Wildfire Mitigation Project mandated by state law. We will need to oversee the removal of trees that could pose a fire danger as well as instituting the clear area of five feet next to community structures. Residents are welcome to attend our monthly meetings on the third Tuesday of the week at 1 pm in the RCN Conference Room. If you like to walk and enjoy looking at our plants and trees, you can also join us on one of our Friday walks that begin at 8 am. We will only have one walk in February. Contact Kat Hughes of FirstService to find out where we are meeting for this walk. ~ Kirk Freyermuth, kafreyer@frontier.com
