28 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | APRIL 2026 | Club Happenings: The Golf Club is more than just golf, including so far this year: 12 rounds of club golf, a winter Paella banquet, a Valentines' Day celebration, a St. Patty's Day celebration, a bowling outing, and a Poker Run/ Chili Cook-off. Contact Blair Becker: 163blair@gmail.com • The next Golf Club Membership meeting is scheduled for June 23 at the Hemet Golf Course (around 1 pm). • The next Golf Club Board meeting is scheduled for April 23 in the Board Conference Room in The Lodge at 4 pm. This month the Treasurer (Linda Morriss) and the Secretary (Mike McLaughlin) will be highlighted as part of a series introducing the Golf Club Board of Directors. Linda was born in Los Angles, raised in Westchester, and bought in Four Seasons in 2003, the very first couple to pick out their lot! Linda and Bob have six children. She was the Vice President of Instruction at San Bernadino Valley College. She has served as Treasurer for the last three Golf Club Boards. Donna and Mike have been residents since 2006. He retired as the Planning Director for the San Diego region for 12 years and was an Adjunct Professor at SDSU for 10 years. He coordinates the golf cart parades and the flag postings and has served as Secretary for the last three Golf Club Boards. From the Secretary, Mike McLaughlin: Some sad news! Jim (Whitey) Rhynes passed on Feb. 3, 2026. He was a long- time member of the club (shown at left) and one great guy. A celebration of his life will be held at 2 pm on May 23, 2026, in Claremont. It is scheduled to start at 4 pm on Sat., April 11. The Club held a bowling outing last month. One of the Club members (Cheryl Robinson) was inducted into the United States Bowling Congress Hall of Fame in 2011! A fun time was had by everyone, even by those that attended for non- bowling reasons. See the circled trio behind Bill and Mary.
