58 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | MAY 2026 Join us for our Launch Day of the fourth season of the Beaumont Bagger Cornhole Group on Tuesday, May 5 at 4 pm on the grassy area of The Lodge. We are excited to see past year's legends and welcome all rookies for a fun-filled season. We play a "Four Seasons" version of the game making it an easy game to learn. No money, no experience, and no equipment are needed. You don't even have to bring a teammate! I pick names out of a hat each week to place you with a teammate for the night. Bring a chair to relax between games, as a spectator or a participant. Join us for our Opening Night on May 5 or, if you are unable to make it that night, join us any Tuesday night at The Lodge at 4 pm. Our time will change to 5 pm on Tuesdays on June 2 for a cooler experience. Any questions, please call or text Pat Barry at (951) 388-0441. ~ Pat Barry Beaumont Baggers Cornhole Group Wetto Gambino and Roger Constance John Barry and Rod Prather Allen Koblin and Bob Dalton We finally got to go trout fishing at Yucaipa Regional Park (photo at right). I called and found out that the county planted trout at that lake. We got to the lake and a bunch of cars were already lined up at the entrance to the lake. That was a really good sign because there wouldn't have been that many cars there if they did not stock the day before. We went in and found a good spot to fish at the top lake. There are three lakes located at the park. What we did not know was that because of the hot weather the weeds and algae made it impossible to fish. Down the shore from us people were starting to catch fish. Jessie and Eddie wasted no time in moving to where the people were catching fish. I stayed in the same place I started and still had no luck. After about an hour of not catching fish I decided to join Jessie and Eddie at the location where people were catching fish. The only problem was people were still catching fish, but we were not catching anything. After about four hours of being frustrated we decided to pull in the lines and call it a day. I believe in fate when you are fishing. Some days you are fated to catch fish and some days you can't even catch a cold. I still have not caught a fish on my new rod and reel. Odds are in my favor if I keep trying sooner or later I will. Tight lines to all my fishing friends and remember to have fun even if you are fated not to catch fish on any given fishing adventure. ~ Richard Carrasco, ricarrasco52@gmail.com Fishing Group
