Golf Cart: The Holiday Parade was the last golf cart parade until
the Fourth of July Parade. Hopefully, the turnout will be as good for
the Fourth of July Parade as it was for the Holiday Parade. As we get
closer to July, more information will be made available. Until then,
mark your calendar for July 4th 8:30 am for lining up and 9 am for
parade start (should take 40-45 minutes).
Interesting golf cart trivia: longest parade: a 215-mile journey
from Boca Raton to Key West; the longest golf cart: a 21-footer and
the Bandit (the world's fastest at over 118 miles per hour).
Flag Angels: The Flag Angels started off the year with f lag
postings for MLK Day and Presidents Day.
The Angels will get a well-deserved bit of
rest; the next postings will not take place
until Memorial Day, end of May.
A bit of nostalgia: Robin Fournier must
hang up her wings! I will miss her cheerful
outlook. Good luck to Robin!
As you can see, Flag Angels go through
turnover for a variety of reasons. I could
use another volunteer or so starting this
month.
