TERRAMOR BEYOND THE GATES | SUMMER 2026 23 How about a fun evening outdoor activity held in a magical setting with lights strung across the bocce ball courts while Italian music is playing in the background? Oh, and maybe a little friendly competition thrown into the mix … it's Bocce Ball! Since 2018, the Bocce Ball Club has been meeting every Tuesday evening. It's a game consisting of 4 balls per team and two teams on each court. It is also called "Italian Lawn Bowling." We have two bocce ball courts located directly outside the South Wing doors at the Terrace Club. Once the sun sets, the string lights go and the fun begins! No pressure — just a fun time. The game is easy to learn. Snacks provided too! Come give it a try … Ciao! Bocce Ball Club 55+ The Terramor Men's Club (TMC) was born eight years ago when several of our 55+ gentlemen found themselves with time on their hands and little direction. So, a fun-loving enthusiastic group of men set out to solve their problem by starting the TMC. Their first event raised a nominal amount of money, and the question of what to do with the funds? After much debate, the group settled on establishing a scholarship program to benefit graduating Terramor high school seniors. Over the last eight years, the men's club has awarded more than $14,000 to deserving young adults. During the holidays, the TMC has also donated toys to our local Fire Department for distribution to children throughout Temescal Valley. This year the scholarship tradition will continue in partnership with the Riverside County Fire Department with plans underway for "something special." More information to come in the next edition of Beyond the Gates Magazine! We thank all the residents of Terramor for your support and look forward to seeing you at our next event. ~ Jim Bradley, Chairperson Terramor Men's Club 55+ Scholarship Recipient Presentation Holiday Toys Give Away If you have ever wanted to try yoga, but didn't you now have that opportunity to try it here at Terramor. Free yoga classes for 55+ residents are held every Monday and Wednesday mornings from 9 to10 am in the Fitness Club Studio. The classes are structured for all levels from beginner to intermediate and taught by Terramor resident, Barbara Farr. Barbara has been teaching yoga for more than 20 years. She says there is a common misconception that you need to be flexible to practice yoga. That is NOT true! The more you practice, the more flexible you will get. Most of her regular attendees have never practiced yoga prior to moving to Terramor and are now "hooked." It's worth a try! Yoga Club 55+
