Continued from previous page July has come and gone. My goodness, time f lies! It feels like just yesterday that we had sprung our clocks forward; maybe that's why. Regardless, I hope we all make the most of our time with our loved ones and enjoy the time we have on this beautiful earth and in sunny California. I try to address any safety concerns in my articles that are brought to me by residents of our wonderful community at OHCC. One recent concern was the brightness of vehicle headlights. The concern was that they were very blinding to other residents and impaired their vision. Thankfully, no one was hurt. I've personally experienced this situation: a friend of mine drove at night with her high beams on instead of her normal nighttime headlights. So, make sure you're using the correct lights! Another safety concern, once again, is cyclists. Please stop at stop signs. As I continue to reiterate, California sees bicycles as moving vehicles, and moving vehicles must abide by the law. This means that you must stop at a stop sign. I was made aware that there was an attempt to change the law so bicyclists could treat stop signs as yields when no other vehicles are present. This law has not been passed. So, in the meantime, stop. We have recently had a lot of parking violations. Please be aware of the community rules regarding overnight parking and parking at the Clubhouse. Overnight parking hours, when residents may receive a citation, are between 2 and 6 am. Please make sure you and your guests have the appropriate pass created. If a resident needs an overnight pass on a permanent basis, please go to the HOA Management Office to fill out a form. If you have any questions regarding the rules and regulations, please do not hesitate to contact the front gate. We seek compliance with and adherence to the rules established at OHCC. If there are any actions performed by the officers that you would like me to address with the patrol officers, please give me a call or send me an email. As always, thank you, OHCC residents, for your vital role in our community. We greatly appreciate your cooperation in adhering to the rules. We are committed to serving you and the community, and your feedback is invaluable. If you have any concerns or suggestions that you would like to see addressed in a future issue of Living Magazine, we encourage you to share them. Please feel free to contact me via email or phone. My office at the front gate is always open for Ocean Hills Country Club residents. ~ Tony Duong, Account Manager | Securitas Security Services, Tony.Duong@ securitasinc.com, P-(760) 766-1458, M-(760) 505-2146 Community Patrol Services
