Ping Pong Club L-R: Don Fant, Gil Apodaca, and Niles Sundstrom On Sept. 24, four members of our Four Seasons Ping Pong Club played in the table tennis tournament at the OLDlympics in Hemet. This was the 29th anniversary for these senior games and the number of competitors and quality of competition just keeps getting better every year. This year our Four Seasons' players included Don Fant, Gil Apodaca, Pete Antoine, and Niles Sundstrom. Don made it all the way to the final match in his age catagory and eventually took home the silver medal. Gil, playing in the same age catagory as Don, earned the bronze medal. All in all, everyone played well and enjoyed this tournament very much. You don't have to be a tournament player to play ping pong. Everyone is welcome to join us in the aerobics room Monday through Friday at 10:30 am and on Saturday at 11 am. The results are not in as of this publication but will be in next month. Starting in November, the Paddle Tennis Club will offer a play day for anyone interested in learning how to play. Paddles and balls will be provided. Play Day will be every third Saturday, at 12 pm on the Paddle Tennis courts.
