Fall Craft Show Fri. and Sat., Nov. 1 and 2, 9 am – 2 pm. Come out and start your holiday shopping with unique gifts and crafts made by Sun Lakes residents! All residents and their guests are welcome to stop by to enjoy our Annual Holiday Craft Show. Admission is free and door prizes will be given away each day. Sun Lakes Veterans Walk Nov. 9, 9:30 – 11:30 am, Main Clubhouse. Please join us for our 2nd Annual Veterans Walk to honor all who have served for our country. This walk is going to be held inside Sun Lakes and all of the proceeds from this event are going to the Wounded Warrior Project. It will be a two mile walk around Country Club Drive to Riviera, and back up Country Club Drive to the Main Clubhouse. Registration is open and forms can be picked up in the Recreation Office. The cost is $20 pp (checks only) and includes a goodie bag with an event t-shirt, continental breakfast after the race, and the opportunity to listen to two decorated veterans. For any residents that are unable to walk, you can still participate by entering your golf cart into the event. We ask that the carts are decorated with a U.S. Flag, a Service Flag, or a Wounded Warrior Flag to support the event. Please note, golf cart use is ONLY for disabled residents. Veterans Walk Schedule 9:30 am: Presentation of Colors & National Anthem 9:40 am: Start of Walk 10 - 10:30 am: Continental Breakfast 11 am: Veteran Speakers 11:30 am: Closing Remarks Lifestream Blood Drive Weds., Nov. 27, from 9 am – 2 pm. Sun Lakes is hosting a blood drive to support Lifestream, which is a blood bank for the San Bernardino & Riverside Counties. The donated blood goes to local hospitals in our area such as Beaver Medical, San Gorgonio, and Loma Linda. Please help us on this day by donating blood. Our goal is to have 40 people donate. If you are interested please call the reception desk and sign up for a time slot. We have time slots every 15 minutes from 9 am – 2 pm.
