knitters & fiber artists December is upon us and time for our annual Christmas get together. A vote was taken at one of our regular meetings and the consensus was (drum roll) let's do it as usual, that is a White Elephant Gift Exchange Potluck. The usual guidelines are: Something to eat or drink, your choice. And a gift, preferably fiber oriented. Minimum value $20. This can be new or used, but in good usable condition. Books, yarn, needles, hooks, hand made items, are good choices, use your imagination. Join us Dec. 16 (our regular meeting day), at 12:30 pm to whatever (our regular meeting time). We get together each month on the second Friday of the month in the Main Clubhouse Arts & Craft Room at 3 pm. The group is open to any and all residents of Sun Lakes. You need not be a current woodworker, you only need the interest in woodworking. If you want to get back into woodworking or if you want to start woodworking. We are the place, come join us. If you can sew, knit, or crochet, come and join us as we do our part to help the local charities. Some of the local organizations we service are San Gorgonio Hospital, Beaver Chemo's, Child Help, H.E.L.P., Child Care Consortium, VNA California and V.A. Hospital at Loma Linda and local convalescent homes. Donations needed: Cotton fabrics for lap blankets. All yarn and any fall or darks colors for military lap blankets and helmet liners.
