soCIal CluBs & gRoups | sun lakes lIfestyles | deCeMBeR 2014 |23 December is a month of celebration and gift giving. Whatever holiday you celebrate, we wish you a happy one, filled with family and good friends. There is no meeting this month. Our holiday luncheon is on Thurs., Dec. 18, at 12 noon at Victor's Restaurant in Beaumont. Susan Brown will be performing. Please bring a wrapped holiday gift for exchange, if you wish to participate. RSVP to Shirley Almeida at 845-2008. I look forward to seeing you of you there. As this year comes to a close, I want to thank all the volunteers who keep this group going. They are Shirley Almeida, Diane Stone, and Larry Liebers. This group could not survive without them. Shirley, who began this group four years ago, still does a wonderful job of getting interesting and knowledgeable guest speakers. Diane Stone and Larry Liebers lead our support group. They are dedicated and so important to the caregiver. I, Anne Magnolia, lead the patient group with my very capable volunteers. They are Pat Kahler, Sandy Richman, and Lorie Wolfe. Shelly Braatz and Susan Brown have shared their time and talents with us so many times, I feel they are part of my team. Without Allison Dugger, I could not create a calendar each month with important support group information. It is truly a joint effort. Thank you so very much. All Sun Lakers are always welcome to hear our guest speakers and attend a meeting. We also have reading material we can loan you. Call us, Shirley, 845-2008, Diane, 769-0130 or Anne, 845-8700. Memory Care Group (Formerly Alzheimer's & Dementia Helpers) To help identify problems early, the Alzheimer's Association has created a list of 10 warning signs for Alzheimer's and other dementias.
