CommunIty news | sun lakes lIfestyles | JanuaRy 2015 | 5 From the Treasurer By John Clark, Master Board Treasurer There is no report for the month of November. Due to the holidays, the publisher required an early cut-off of submissions to Lifestyles in order to meet the month-end deadline. The November financial statements were not yet available. November information is available on the Sun Lakes website (sunlakescc.com). Finally, a favorite New Year's toast of mine to all Sun Lakers "Here's wishing you more happiness than all my words can tell, not just alone for New Year's Eve but for all the year as well." Enuf: Comments, etc., to jdclark@dc.rr.com PROPOSED RULE CHANGE NOTIFICATION 14-018 The Board reviewed the following proposed amendment, to the Sun Lakes Country Club Homeowners Association General Statement of Rules and Regulations (revised Sept. 1, 2014 edition), that appear on the Association's website (sunlakescc.com) and are available in the administration office (please reference Article VIII – Golf Course Rules and Regulations - see p. 40), at its Nov. 20, 2014 Open Session Meeting. The Board will vote upon the proposed amendment at its Feb. 19, 2015 Open Session Meeting, following publication in the January 2015 edition of Lifestyles. If the Board votes in favor of the proposed rule change it would go into effect March 2, 2015. Notice, informing the members of the approval, would be posted in the main, north and south clubhouses, in agreement with Civil Code § 4045. PURPOSE: The purpose of the proposed rule is to provide residents with guidelines pertaining to the types of golf shoes that are not permitted to be worn in the clubhouses. EFFECT: The effect of the rule change, if adopted, would allow residents to wear golf shoes in the clubhouse(s) that do not have plastic or metal cleats. It is proposed that following rule, in bold, italic and underlined text be added to Article VIII – Golf Course Rules and Regulations: 18. Wearing golf shoes, with plastic or metal cleats is prohibited in the clubhouses, with the exception of the Sandwedge Restaurant. rule change cOncerning gOlf shOes in the cluBhOuses We would like to apologize for any confusion caused by including a new Resident Information Form in the December Lifestyles without a cover letter. To clarify, we would like you to bring the new Resident Information Form with you (filled out completely) when you come to exchange your old transponder for the new Sirit Headlamp Tag on your assigned month (please see below). If you have lost your form, we will have extra forms available. We would like to notify the community that we WILL NOT be conducting the transponder exchange on rainy days. The new Sirit Headlamp tags need to be applied to a dry surface, and we do not have the accommodations to make this happen. So, if it is raining on the day you were going to bring your vehicle in, please come on a different day. Transponder Exchange Schedule: Management has developed a schedule for residents to be able to exchange their transponders for the new headlamp stickers.
