Happy Cookers members and friends enjoyed a wonderful holiday party on Dec. 2 to start the holiday season. The meal was catered by Skip Thomas Catering. The tables sparkled with holiday decorations beautifully and each was decorated by a different member. We were entertained by delightful songs from the Radio Flyers. Sun Lakes has experienced a cold spell we thought only happened elsewhere. To help warm our bones we will explore the varieties of soup. Nothing helps warm you up better than a hot bowl of soup. Carol's Kitchen is a nonprofit public benefit 501 (c)(3) Corporation. Make a difference in the lives of our less fortunate neighbors. Volunteer at Carol's Kitchen! Work at our soup kitchen for part of one day per week. Help with food preparation, cooking, serving or by passing out groceries at the end of each meal. Your attendance at all those events makes it possible for us to continue our support for charities and musical programs throughout the PASS area. The holidays are over, everyone is relaxed and getting into the swing of 2015, and the Sun Lakes Chorale is too! We're now practicing for our Spring Concert, which will be held on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday of the first weekend in May. We welcome new members all the time! Our practices are every Monday from 9:30 am to 12:15 pm in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom. Please join us for singing, laughter, and fellowship for which the Chorale of Sun Lakes is well known. Bonjour! The first class is March 1 and classes are free. The sign up sheet is located at the Main Clubhouse reception desk.
