FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | MARCH 2015 37 How do I put my family tree together? Start with yourself and work backwards. You are generation #1. Your parents are generation #2. Grandparents are generation #3. And so forth. At first, focus on one surname. Do your paternal side, then your maternal side of the family. Write down everything you know and can find, then fill in the blanks later. Interview relatives. Concentrate on the oldest generations first, and don't wait until it's too late. Ask about photos, letters, bibles, heirlooms, family documents, stories, places, events, work, travel and anything that might be informative and interesting. The more the better. Use simple, standard family tree forms that allow you to enter names and data. This will help organize your information and will show you what you're missing. There's much more, but this represents the basics of how to start your family tree. We spent some time reviewing our 2014's study of God's love for us, and us in turn showing our love for Him by loving others around us. In February we began discussing what makes a Godly woman beautiful. We shared thoughts and feelings of what constitutes a woman of beauty, and then went to the Word to validate God's definition of a beautiful woman. We selected four Biblical women to study: Rahab, Hannah, Mary of Bethany and Rebekah, and why the Lord considers each of them beautiful. It was an enlightening and uplifting study, showing us that every woman is beautiful, first because we are created in His image, and second because God's criteria is her beautiful heart. In March we will begin the next topic of discussion: "A Godly Woman is Courageous." Since this subject has so many facets to explore, it could take us a month or more to give this topic adequate attention. It should prove to be exciting, empowering and uplifting! If you are interested in exploring what the Bible has to say about these and other specific topics, please consider joining this amazing group of women as we learn the Bible's direction for our lives. We meet every Friday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 am in the first section of the Ballroom. This is a non-denominational study, and all women are welcome. Hope to see you soon! ~ Eileen Gilbert-Antoine "Believe…" Women's Bible Study All Seasons RV Club enjoying a wonderful dinner at Shugre's Restaurant over looking the London Bridge during our visit to the Lake Havasu Balloon Festival.
