FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JUNE 2015 37
We meet the third Tuesday
of each month at 6:30 pm in
the Craft Room at the Lodge;
thus, our June meeting will
be June 16. Visitors are
always welcome. We invite all
photographers, regardless of
skill level, to join us for our
regular meetings and field
trips. Members are always
eager to help and teach. We
discuss photography, photo
software, hardware and related
subjects of interest, including
demonstrations. Yours truly
did a demo at our May meeting.
On a voluntary basis, members
offer their photographs for
critique, which is a great
learning experience for all.
Our alternative photo project is
ongoing, i.e. we bring a picture
of a specific genre we all agree on.
For the May meeting, the assignment was to take a long-
exposure picture. Lots of great photographs were presented
showing how those "longer-than-normal" shutter settings
greatly impacted the overall picture giving it that "wow" factor,
e.g. blurred lights, silky water, etc.
Also, in our May meeting, we did our photography
presentations differently. Instead of the attendees bringing in
a picture, we submitted them directly to our chairperson, Irve
Sturner, either on a thumb drive or via email. Irve then made
the presentation with the use of a projector and screen. We like
this new presentation mode and will continue with its use.
Our camera club will participate in the Art-O-Rama on
Friday, June 12, in this year's HOA Art/Photo show held in the
main ballroom from 5 to 9 pm.
We hope to see you at one of our meetings soon. For those
of you submitting photographs directly to fourseasonsnews@
yahoo.com for the cover of the Breeze, why don't you come to
one of our meetings to see what our club is about? You may
enjoy the meetings so much that you become a regular attendee!
