FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | AUGUST 2015 11
Due to ongoing drought conditions throughout California,
the State Water Board approved emergency regulations in July
2014 to address outdoor urban water use.
Four specific water-wasting actions are prohibited statewide:
Overwatering lawns and landscapes such that excessive runoff
flows into adjacent property, walkways, roadways, or parking
lots; using a hose to wash a motor vehicle, unless hose is
equipped with a shutoff nozzle; using water to wash driveways
and sidewalks; using water in a fountain or other decorative
water feature, unless the water is recirculated.
The following additional restrictions for water use are in
effect for the Beaumont-Cherry Valley Water District: Lawn
watering is restricted to Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for
addresses ending in odd numbers, and Sunday, Tuesday and
Thursday for addresses ending in even numbers during from
May through October. For the months of November through
April odd addresses are limited to Monday and Friday and even
addresses Tuesday and Saturday. Outdoor urban landscape
irrigation between the hours of 8 am and 8 pm is prohibited
except for propagation beds and agricultural irrigation. ~
