FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | SEPTEMBER 2015 41 Our June winner Robert Manuel was served his winning dinner. He chose El Pollo Loco, chicken, along with salsa, chips, rice and devil's food cake. Jim Stover also fixed up a special recipe of cowboy beans. They were mighty good and the pot emptied real fast. Better fix a bigger pot of those beans next time, Jim. The competition for the winner for the month of July turned into a real horse race with Leroy Wright, with 12 game wins, Marvin A. Gaines, with 11 game wins and Jim Stover with 10 game wins. Down the stretch, Marvin got 12 wins along with Jim Stover with 12 game wins. But the Ghost, Leroy Wright, showed up before Halloween and crossed the finish line with 15 wins for July. Nicely done Leroy. We meet every Wednesday and Friday from 5 pm to 9 pm in the Lodge Game Room. For more information call Jesse at (951) 769-2035 or Reggie at (951) 769-6483. Everyone is welcome. Come out and play and make some new friends. ~ Marvin A. Gaines Dominoes Lorimar Vineyards and Winery opened among a fanfare of local residents and guests of Temecula Valley Wine Country. This Tuscan style winery features crafted wines that are approachable with a fruit forward style that showcases the strengths of Temecula Valley Wine Country. The first vine plantings were of Cabernet Sauvignon in the year 2000, followed by Syrah, Grenache, Muscat, Viognier and Sangiovese. Taste d' Vine Wine Club is excited to showcase the award-winning Lorimar Vineyards and Winery for wonderful tasting and interesting education at our September meeting on the third Thursday, Sept. 17, 6 pm in the Ballroom. Bring an appetizer such as bread or crackers and cheese, your own favorite bottle of wine if you wish, and a glass or two for tasting and sharing. Members $5, guests $10. ~ Gracy Luna Taste d'Vine Our Christmas/Holiday reminder reservations are being accepted on a first-come-first-served basis. Reservations may be obtained from Wondell Collins at (951) 845-7263, Delene Houston at 951 205-0972 and Johnetta Driscoll at (951) 922-6039, the cost is $50 per person. The time is flying… reservations will be gone before you know it. The tickets are selling well. Our own Roxie Elliott is hosting a boot camp to discuss some important information regarding trusts, directives, last will and testaments, etc. It will be Monday, Sept. 14 at 6 pm in the Four Seasons Card Room. This boot camp is open to all of our neighbors, family members and friends. There will be enough time available after the presentation for Q & A. If you are interested in attending, please contact Roxie at (951) 769- 2517. A head count is needed so proper handouts are available to all in attendance, please remember to share this information with others. Also, we have a guest speaker joining us to discuss advance planning for funerals and cremation. On Aug. 8, we were thoroughly entertained by the singing duet Divas Divine. What a fabulous show they put on. If you missed it, you missed a treat. Special thanks to our own Betty Ann James, Verlette Brummell and the Social Committee for putting this on for the Four Seasons Community. Due to Labor Day, the next meeting will be on Sept. 14. For more information contact Betty Ann James at (951) 572-5538. See you there! ~ Wanda Valentine African American Culture Club Leroy Wright was the July Domino Club Champion
