FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | MAY 2016 41
On March 4 the championship dinner for Vernon Bell was served. Vernon treated us all
and surprised everyone by cooking a meatloaf dinner. The meatloaf was "finger licking good"
— better than my mom used to make. Who knew that Vernon had those kind of cooking
skills? He cooks much better than he plays dominoes. Thanks for a great dinner Vernon and
congratulations on being the domino champion for February.
The domino champion for March was Robert Manuel, after a close tie-breaker match with
John Bragg. Both players tied up with 19 impressive game wins. They had a two out of three
game match playoff on 4-1-16 where Robert won. Great playing by both players.
Dominoes are played every Wednesday and Friday from 5 to 9 pm in the Lodge Game Room.

Horseshoe Club
May already! No, it can't be, but that's what they are telling me. April was a fun month
starting with our monthly social with dinner at The Bistro and dessert at a member's
home. This month was hosted by Emile and Jeannie Pelletier at their most spacious and
beautiful home with a much-enjoyed putting green in the backyard. Horseshoe play itself
was both fun and competitive. Our remodeled score boards by Tom Herron eliminated
any memory loss situations that were common before Tom's very welcomed contribution.
So, if you're looking for something to do on Wednesday mornings at 9 am at The Summit,
come join us. You won't be disappointed. If you're interested at all, come and join us. Any
questions, please contact Ron Erickson at (951) 846-3288, rejlerickson@sbcglobal.net or
Gary Christie at (951) 845-0520, goldtoy@earthlink.net. ~ Ron Erickson
