| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | June 2016 | 31 Tennis Friends COLD AND RAIN DOES NOT KEEP US OFF THE COURTS. It was a dark and stormy May, sorta. However, some people turned out as the sprinkles attempted to ruin our fun and as seen by the pictures of the brave rainy four (Sandy St. John, George Togo, Trish Egan, and Hiro Oshita) and the morning crew (Jerry, Mason, Hank, Herb, George, Sid, Earle, Doug, and Jim). However, warmer days are starting to happen. Three events we should be thinking about are worth putting on your save the dates. First of all there is the Valleywide Oldlympics for many, many sports. It looks like Oct. 1 and 2 is the tennis part of the Oldlympics and Oct. 4 "Awards" will be handed out at the Banquet on Tuesday afternoon Oct. 4 . The total Oldlympics shebang starts Sept. 17. So, be alert. We are sure you can look it up online. Sometime in the fall (November?) we will have our in-house championships. Also, we are looking for someone to organize a shared tournament with Del Webb Solera at our place. Likewise they might sponsor one too. Several of our players journey to the Valley Wide Courts on Esplanade and events at Soboba, and Gibbel Park. Let us know if you are interested in any of these as several levels of play can be accommodated. In the meantime, drop by the courts for information and fun. Likewise you can increase your social sphere by checking with Trish Egan, Tracy Trousset, or Chuck Sims. You can even come out Wednesday nights for star gazing and tennis work outs. See you on the courts. Come join the fun! We play on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 8 am. Players of all skill levels welcome! If you have any questions call Nancy at (951) 926-5018. Pickleball
