FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JULY 2016 39 Bridge for Fun The heat is on! So join us for some cool summer fun! Bridge for Fun meets on Mondays and Wednesdays at 12 noon sharp in the Lodge. We are always looking for new players and observers. We encourage the pre-discussion of your conventions with each partner and we rotate partners and tables in a party bridge format. Late in June is the In House Club Competitions with the two top players from the Monday group and the Wednesday group in playoffs followed by trophy awards at the 4th of July Community Potluck. Monday info., Bill Guy (951) 845-5627. ~ Dr. Phil The Four Season Singers will be singing on Monday, July 4 in the Lodge Ballroom, with the event starting at 12 noon. We have some fabulous music to share with you. We hope you come out for this fun afternoon. OK, neighbors, we need your input. At our last meeting, we decided on when we want to put on shows for 2017. However, we didn't decide on what shows we would be doing. That's where you come in. I would greatly appreciate it if you would either email or call me with your ideas. Please keep in mind, original plays need to be written first and that takes time, so that would more likely be something for 2018, but an outside chance for 2017. Tell me your likes, dislikes, and ideas. If you are interested in getting involved, definitely contact me. This is your chance to be heard! Don't forget karaoke! Check the Breeze for the karaoke schedule every month. Whether you want to get up and take a shot at singing or just sit back and enjoy the music with your beverages, it's a big ball of fun! They've even added dancing recently. Be cool and come on down to the beach (a.k.a., our Four Seasons Amphitheater) on Sunday, July 17 to listen to music provided by Woody and the Longboards. Though these five musicians make up a tribute band to The Beach Boys, they also offer a wide variety of hits from the 50s through the 80s. The concert begins at 7 pm at the amphitheater, located adjacent to the tennis courts. To reserve a spot, you are welcome to place your chairs earlier in the day, but remember to leave room for folks to sit on the concrete risers. (Note: placing a reserved sign will not hold your space.) Don't forget to consider the pool deck as a site for listening to the music - you can sit, eat and sip a beverage of your choice. As always, plastic containers only; wine bottles must be in a sleeve. Don't forget a jacket as our evenings can be quite cool if not downright cold. Straw hats and Hawaiian shirts - vintage or new are welcome! We will have an ugly or pretty Hawaiian shirt contest. ~ Doris SanFilippo
