| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | September 2016 | 13 Landscape Committee Artistic Maintenance has outdone themselves with the color planting around the Lodge, fountain and other common areas in the community. The zinnias are an excellent choice of plant for the Hemet summer climate. They give a brilliant splash of color and it enhances the appearance of the community we are proud to call home. The landscape gardeners are maintaining the Legends and the common areas to the highest level possible even through the hottest months of the year. If any resident has a concern regarding the landscaping, please fill out a Landscape Maintenance Request form available at the Lodge front desk and it will be forwarded to the appropriate department for immediate attention. Community Awareness Committee Summer is coming to a close – but the heat is still on… In so many ways. Measure "E" failed to pass short 605 votes of the necessary two- thirds majority. The Business and Community Coalition requested the city council allow the measure to return to ballot in November for a majority vote approval. The action was approved by a 4-1 vote. Measure "U" will be vetted soon. Circle "K" is proposing a new facility in the southwest corner of the Winco center. It will be the first of its kind in California. The store will not only have pumps and a car wash, it will also have a coffee bar, a fresh (made to order) food station and inside seating. They are also going to provide golf cart parking and are exploring a space for "cart" washing! They will not be selling distilled spirits. A close "eye" is still upon Reinhardt Canyon and Highway 79. There should be more information debuting in the fall. LED streetlight testing will be conducted by the city and Western Council of Governments in five different areas of Hemet. You will begin to see one of the test areas on California and Florida. We will keep you informed and be requesting your opinion in September- October. Our committee meets the first Monday of each month. We would like to address the concerns of the community that affect Four Seasons – please join us! ~ Robin Lowe
