COMMITTEE NEWS Landscape Summer lingers at Four Seasons. Well into October the arid heat of the high desert demands our attention. For our wildlife it is a time to raise their newborn. For our plant life it is a time to fl ower and seed. For our homeowners it is a time to enjoy the coolness of the evenings. This year our newly expanded Amphitheater seating area has been overfl owing and now there is interest in expanding it further. With the transfer of the Highland Springs Trail to the Association the Committee is now working to install safety fencing and new benches and picnic tables. The swimming pool has an open look with the removal of the large fl ax plants and several "leaning" trees in front of the Lodge were removed. Our Springdale community upgrade project is completed and 150 cubic yards of mulch now blankets the soil to keep new plants healthy as their roots become established. September will usher the Santa Ana winds that break branches and uproot trees. The Fuel Modifi cation Zone that borders our western and southern boundary continues to be cleared prior to transfer to the Association. This year our late fall trimming will commence earlier to preclude some of the wind damage.
