Fall is upon us signaling the onset of some of my favorite activities!
October begins with a great opportunity for treasurer hunting with the giant day of HOA garage sales on Saturday, Oct. 13. Last year I picked up a beautiful, unique, cast iron, true-to-life detailed, antique blackbird. What a deal and a cool conversation piece! The year before that I found a gorgeous Fritz and Floyd Cabbage terrine which I also bought for almost nothing! Don't miss out on all the amazing deals! If you want to secure a spot in the Lodge parking lot or have a sale at your home, the last day to sign up is Wednesday, October 10.
My second favorite date in the fall is Veteran's Day, Nov. 11. This year we will be doing something a little different, by honoring our Veterans with an HOA sponsored Veterans Day Breakfast. There will be pancakes, bacon, fresh fruit and coffee to say thank you to those that have served our country. Non-veteran spouses and guests are welcome to join our veterans for breakfast for the meal price of $6.75. Please sign-up at the Lodge desk to let us know that you are coming, so that we know how many to set up for and so Smitty knows how many to cook for. The sign-up sheets will be out on Monday, Oct. 15.
