Bicyclists are in danger of vehicles on the right side, not paying attention, putting the cyclist in potential danger. A: This item will be addressed with our Operations Staff and the Community Patrol Provider to find ways to resolve these issues. Q: A member stated that while viewing channel 97, they noticed that whatever graphic that was being advertised, that the words were not legible. A: Our Recreation Department will be fixing this issue; it should be resolved quickly. June Open Session Board Action Items: The Board approved the revision to the Committee Charters. The Board appointed Kay Rawle to the Safety & Security Advisory Committee. The Board approved a Resolution to Pre- Lien and Lien Delinquent Accounts. The Board accepted the recommendation from the 30th Anniversary Sub-Committee to return the excess donations back to the clubs/groups in the amount of $2,030 and to the Marketing Advisory Committee in the amount of $1,304.94. The Board approved the request from the Banning Stagecoach Days Association for a Sponsorship in the amount of $1,500. The Board denied the request from the Recreation Advisory Committee to create a group called "Woman for Hope." The Board approved the addition to the Golf Course Rules #19, and exception section wording. The Board approved the proposal from Premier Paving in the amount of $307,257.74, to be funded from the Repair & Replacement Reserve Fund. June Report on Executive Session Action (non-confidential): The Board of Directors held Executive Session Board meetings on June 14 and June 28. The following are action items the Board took at these meetings: The Board received a request from a homeowner for a refund for annual golf dues. After reviewing the matter, the Board approved the request. The Board received seven requests from different homeowners for overnight parking variances. The Board approved one request, and denied five requests. Further, the Board tabled one of the items for a later date. The Board approved to foreclose a lien and record a notice of default on APN# 419- 300-044-7. The Board received a request from a homeowner on a variance to rule 5.02 on pet walking. After reviewing the matter, the Board agreed with the member's request. The proposals for the Sun Lakes road maintenance was reviewed and discussed. The item was placed on the Open Session for further discussion. PROPOSED RULE CHANGE NOTIFICATION 17-05 The Board reviewed the following proposed amendment, to the Sun Lakes Country Club Homeowners Association Rules and Regulations (revised July 1 edition), that appear on the Association's website (www.sunlakescc.com) and are available in the administration office (please reference Article VI โ€“ Recreation Facilities Rules and Regulations, Section 6.07 โ€“ Private Party Room Use Policy, #11) at its July 26 Open Session Meeting. The Board will vote upon the proposed amendment at its October 25, 2017 Open Session Meeting, following publication in the September edition of Lifestyles. If the Board votes in favor of the proposed rule change it would go into effect November 1, 2017. Notice, informing the members of the approval, would be posted in the Main, North and South Clubhouses, in agreement with Civil Code ยง 4045. PURPOSE: The purpose of the proposed rule change is to prohibit a higher authority user (District) from being able to boot a lower priority user (Club/Group) out of a reserved room. EFFECT: The effect of the rule change, if adopted, will prohibit a higher authority user from canceling a Club/Group reservation, without written approval. Except for the Sun Lakes Country Club Homeowners Association Board of Directors, a higher priority user, without at least 120 days advance notice from the date the event is scheduled to take place, may not cancel events that have been confirmed made by lower priority user without the written approval of that said user.
