The Facilities Committee has undergone quite a change in membership since the first
quarter of this year. Of the five Four Seasons residents that were members into April of
this year, only one remains — our Secretary, Louvenia Ortega.
Since April, several new members have joined the committee. They include
myself, Bruce Lewis, Stefan Just, Howard Lyon and, very recently, Larry
Nail. Our Charter mandates a total of seven members. Our current
membership is comprised of residents with extensive backgrounds
in either facilities or project management, and we bring years of
experience and new perspective to the committee.
Since May, the committee has functioned with an acting chair but,
as we met a quorum at our October meeting, an election was held for
chair and co-chair. I was elected as chair and Bruce Lewis as co-chair.
As chair, and with input from the community at large, I am
committed to seeing that the committee fulfills the mandates of its
charter by maintaining and improving, as much as possible, this
beautiful community that we share.
We meet at 8:30 am on the third Tuesday of the month in the RCN
building and welcome residents to bring us their ideas or concerns.
In future articles, either Bruce or I will provide updates on new projects and
in-progress project status.
Lastly, on behalf of the Facilities Committee, I would like to wish the community a
