Please Take Note: The Talent/Comedy Show scheduled for April 27 and 28 has been changed to May 18 and 19. Due to the new wood floor and carpeting scheduled for installation, the Ballroom has been deemed unusable for shows and meetings. Please go to your calendars to make note of the change. This show is going to be the talk of our community. It's going to be loaded with funny skits, stand-up comedy, songs, and more. The Producer, John Horning, has proven over several years that he is the man for the job. Every show he has produced has been a blockbuster! Radio Show last month - We would like to thank every member of the audience for coming out during an evening of cold and inclement weather. You are appreciated! A special "thank you" to Producer, Tom Shelley, for another wonderful show. ~ Teri Meyers-Kelman 40 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | APRIL 2018 Performing Arts Club MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: John Horning is a prominent member of the Performing Arts Club. While he produces many of our shows, John's talents go way beyond producing. He's written many skits, is a great comedy actor, sings, and is an accomplished magician. He has performed numerous times and is a member of the world famous Magic Castle in Hollywood. John's career was not in theater. He was an actuary (a financial mathematician), for decades before moving to our community, where he has lived for the past 10 years. Before deciding to move here, he starting looking at active adult properties, with the intent of purchasing a home a few years later. However, he fell in love with Four Seasons and chose to buy a house here, years ahead of his original plan. John Horning got the acting bug performing in high school plays. Besides acting, he's also an avid spectator, going to see many professional theatrical performances. When Four Seasons had its first talent show, approximately nine years ago, he volunteered to do some magic tricks. At the time, we didn't have a stage, special lighting, and a barely functioning sound system. Much has changed since then. After that first show, John became a regular entertainer and has been part of the Performing Arts Club. Ideas for new shows come to him in the middle of the night. Fortunately, he has trained himself to wake up and write them down. John's other hobbies are taking singing and piano lessons. He is also an artist who loves to paint. Thank you, John, for being a very active member of the Performing Arts Club. You are appreciated! ~ Teri Meyers-Kelman "You Know You're Old" The Comedy & Talent Show New Date! May 18 & 19
